LaTasha Jackson-McDougle

 

LaTasha Jackson-McDougle has been awarded 2018 Fort Worth Business Press Minority Leader, 2016 Mitch Poe Humanitarian award; a proud graduate of the University of Texas Arlington where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work, an Honors Master of Criminology and Criminal Justice degree, as well as a second Honors Master of Science in Social Work degree. She is a published contributing author of “Dethroning Domestic Violence: Stories of Survival and Victory". LaTasha is also the publishing author of “The Prosecutor’s Role in helping Domestic Violence Victims.” Ms. Jackson-McDougle is currently a Court Case Manager of the Domestic Violence Diversion Program, the Founder of Cheryl’s Voice an organization to who's mission is to be an advocate and a voice for children who have suffered from the loss of their parent(s) due to domestic violence homicide/suicide. She is also a Professor at UT Arlington teach course on Domestic Violence when funding is available . LaTasha has committed herself to help serve others for over 17 years in social work and criminal justice fields. Cheryl’s Voice was created to be a voice and resource for children and their families who have been impacted by domestic violence homicide and/or suicide by providing education about the cycle of abuse and the tools available to help break the cycle. The Founder LaTasha Jackson-McDougle was a child left behind, witnessing the murder of mother and suicide of her father. 35 years later LaTasha is dedicated to being an advocate to children who suffer from the same tragedy. She has dedicated her life and education to learn more about Domestic Violence and is motivated to share her story and play an active role in Domestic Violence Awareness. LaTasha Jackson-McDougle is highly motivated to encourage children who survived and witnessed domestic violence in their homes. She actively promotes Domestic Violence Awareness in the communities letting Cheryl's Voice be heard.
